Weapons expertise § 7 WaffG
This course is aimed at all persons who wish to become professional firearms carriers in the areas of cash-in-transit or personal and escort protection and who require a firearms licence or firearms permit to do so. Weapons expertise is also mandatory for prospective sport shooters.
Requirements
- Personal and physical suitability according to WaffG
- Certificate of good conduct from the GBA Berlin (not older than three months before the start of training)
- Coming of age
- Sufficient knowledge of written and spoken German
Course duration
- Four days of eight hours each (two days of theory and practice)
- One exam day
Registration information:
Registration must be made 2 weeks before the desired start of the course, as we are subject to a registration deadline from our firearms authority. Registrations that are not made within the 2 week deadline cannot be considered. Please remember to apply for the police clearance certificate in good time. This usually takes between 2 and 4 weeks, depending on where you live, and must be presented on the first day of the course at the latest.
This further training programme is an AZAV-certified measure and can be settled with an education voucher. If you have any questions, we will be happy to advise you in detail.
REGISTRATION DATES
CONTENT OF THE COURSE
In accordance with §§ 1 and 2 of the General Weapons Ordinance, we teach the following theoretical and practical knowledge and skills to prospective professional firearms carriers in preparation for the firearms proficiency test:
1. theoretical training
Handling weapons and ammunition with regard to the legal provisions of weapons, firearms and criminal law
Recognising and assessing self-defence and emergency situations
Weapon technology for firearms in terms of functionality as well as internal, external and target ballistics (range and mode of action of projectiles)
2. practical firearms and shooting training
Safe handling of weapons and ammunition
Intensive weapons and shooting training in a team-teaching process (aim: sufficient shooting skills)
The theoretical and practical examinations last a total of one day. Upon successful completion of the examination, a firearms certificate is issued, which is recognised by all firearms authorities throughout Germany, as the POND ACADEMY training centre is a state-accredited training provider for official firearms certification.
The POND ACADEMY training centre provides documents and equipment (training can of course also be given on the weapons to be used later).
